Because good marketing starts with access, not assumptions.
You know what kills momentum faster than bad news? Forgot password.
We’ve seen it too many times, businesses invest in marketing, but when it’s time to actually do the work, we’re stuck digging through emails looking for font files and passwords from 2019.
Whether you’re onboarding with a new firm (like us) or just trying to get your own house in order, here’s our go-to New Marketing Client Checklist. A.K.A. everything we need to hit the ground running and actually market your business, not just guess at it.
Hex codes, Pantones, anything that defines your brand color palette. Close enough isn’t good enough, we want consistency.
Send us the .otf or .ttf files you actually use, not just the font name. If it’s custom or paid, we’ll need the license or purchase info too.
Primary, secondary, transparent, stacked, icon-only, whatever you’ve got, we want it. And yes, we prefer vector formats like .ai or .svg.
Dropbox, Drive, brand shoot folders, lifestyle content, anything we can pull from for campaigns, posts, and design work.
We’ll need full access to your website (not just editor view).
Where are you tracking leads, customers, or sales conversations? HubSpot? Salesforce? Google Sheets? Something weird and custom? We’ve seen it all, just send the keys.
Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Flodesk, ActiveCampaign, we need access to build, send, and analyze your emails. And if you’re not using email marketing yet? We will be.
We need to know exactly what you sell and how it’s packaged, so we don’t accidentally promote your summer bundle that ended two months ago.
List of Social Platforms
Where are you active? Where are you planning to be active? Give us the links and the login info. Let’s make sure it’s all aligned.
Tell us what tools you’re already paying for (design apps, schedulers, data platforms, etc). No need to reinvent the wheel or double pay.
What’s your community presence, social impact, or give-back model? If you don’t have one, we can help create it, but we want to tell your whole story, not just the sales part.
What makes you different? Why do people choose you? These don’t have to be fancy, just real. We’ll build from there.
Bottom line?
Marketing is like building a house. If we don’t have the materials, we’re stuck waiting while deadlines fly by. This checklist ensures we start strong, move fast, and stay aligned, because the best marketing is proactive, not reactive.
